Two Men Break into Maspeth/Middle Village Homes, Steal Property and Parked Car: NYPD

Nov. 26, 2019 By Kristen Torres

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in three break-ins this month.

The pair allegedly broke into a woman’s home through the back door in the vicinity of 53rd Avenue and 66 Street in Maspeth on Nov. 11. They then took $11,500 worth of property and the victim’s 2013 red Volkswagen Jetta that was parked in the driveway.

The suspects — described by police as Hispanic males between 20 and 30 years old — then fled. One of the men took off in a dark mini-van while the other in the victim’s car, according to police.

The pair then broke into two more homes near 60th Road and 85th Street in Middle Village on Nov. 14, according to police.

The suspects attempted to pry open a back door at the first residence but were heard by the 51-year-old female victim who was home at the time. The two men fled to a tan mini-van when confronted by the victim.

The suspects then gained entry to the second house through a locked front door. The men made off with property and cash — which totaled nearly $6,000 — before again fleeing the scene in a tan mini-van.

Anyone with information in regard to the identities of the men is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
