Nov. 21, 2023 By Ethan Marshall The number of vehicles being stolen, categorized by the NYPD as grand larceny auto, has increased throughout Queens year-to-date, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD. Grand larceny auto incidents are up 39.6% in northern Queens for the year through Nov. 19, rising from 1,718 incidents last year to 2,398 this year. Nov. 7, 2023 By Bill Parry A Middle Village man was arrested Sunday and booked at the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood in connection with two forcible touching incidents early last month, according to the NYPD. David Perez, 33, of 79th Street, was taken into custody on Nov. 5 for targeting women in two different police precincts on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Oct. 30, 2023 By Emily Ramos Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for the thief who stole a man’s wallet in Ridgewood on Sunday, Oct. 15.  The 54-year-old victim and owner of the wallet told police on Tuesday, Oct. 17, he was inside of Zabka Deli, located at 66-51 Fresh Pond Road, on Oct. 15, when he noticed his wallet had fallen.
