Numerous Queens restaurants will be represented at this event, which is scheduled to run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 9. Oct. 24, 2023 By Anthony Medina Numerous flower bouquets and candles were placed at the street post at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue where many remembered seeing school crossing guard Krystyna Naprawa on the job. The 63-year-old school crossing guard died on Friday, Oct. 20, when a dump truck driver who was making a right-hand turn from Woodhaven Boulevard and onto Atlantic Avenue struck Naprawa. Oct. 24, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from two Queens police precincts are looking for two moped-riding crooks who snatched necklaces from two women on the same afternoon last month. The 104th Precinct in Ridgewood reported the first of two grand larceny that occurred at around 4:20 p.m.on Thursday, Sept. 14. Crunching the Queens crime stats: Rape cases rising, grand larceny continues downward trend

While much of it follows a similar trend to last week’s stats, there are some notable changes in trends. Rape cases in northern Queens rose from 15 to 20 year-over-year. While the 104th, 111th and 112th precincts each saw no change, the only northern Queens precinct to experience a decline was the 115th, from five last year to one this year.
