Police are searching for two armed robbers who burst into a home in Woodhaven Friday and held up six people – including two children.

The suspects broke into the house, located on 89th Street near 86th Road, through a basement window at around 2:50 a.m. and pointed a gun at a 30-year-old man who was inside a bedroom, police said.

They told him to get on the ground and threatened to kill him if he didn’t reveal where cash and jewelry was stashed. The assailants then bound his hands behind his back with zip ties, according to police.

The suspects rushed through the rest of the house pointing their guns and yelling at all the occupants to get on the floor.

They proceeded to tie up an 18-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man. A 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy were also inside the residence at the time, police said.

The perpetrators rummaged through the premises and filled a duffel bag with loot before someone in the house called 911, police said.

The suspects, who are described as two Black men, then fled the scene westbound towards 88th Street but never took the bag with them. Police said it is unclear as to why the thieves left it behind.

However, they did manage to take off with keys to a safe, police said.

Police said that all of the victims – except one adult – live permanently in the house.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.

*Update, Police released video footage Saturday taken from inside the premises.

Tell me they didn’t have any cash or jewlery. If they had cash and jewlery it points to insiders who knew what they’d get their hands on.
