via DCPI

Nov. 12, 2018 By Laura Hanrahan

Police are searching for two men involved in an attempted burglary at a Middle Village home last month.

The failed burglary took place at around 10:46 a.m. on Oct. 25, when the two men parked a gray Dodge Caravan in front of the target home near near 77th Place and Eliot Avenue.

One of the men first approached the house and rang the doorbell. His accomplice then forcibly pushed a window air conditioner unit into the house in an attempt to create an entrance, police say.

Both individuals, however, fled before ever entering the home.

The suspects are described as 30 years old and are both around 5 feet 9 inches in height.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
