A manager at a CVS pharmacy in Forest Hills was stabbed in the hand by a shoplifter who took off with cough medicine and shampoo at around 12:25 p.m. Tuesday.

The CVS employee was attacked after trying to stop the thief inside the Queens Boulevard and 71st Avenue store, police said.

The suspect also punched the employee in the face.

The thief, who is described as being in his 40s, exited the store and headed westbound on Queens Boulevard with about $200 worth of items.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

There have been no arrests.
