Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Cypress Avenue: NYPD

Police are searching for a man wanted for a gunpoint robbery in Ridgewood yesterday.

On June 4, just after 1 a.m., the 32-year-old victim was walking home from the Myrtle Avenue/Wyckoff Avenue subway station when he was approached by the unidentified man in front of 1070 Cypress Ave.

The suspect took out a gun and demanded that the man hand over his iPhone, cash and debit cards.

The robber then fled the scene, heading southbound on Cypress Avenue.

The victim was not injured as a result of the robbery, police said.

The suspect is described as black and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat and a black jacket.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the 104 Detective Squad at 718-386-2723.
