Man Forces His Way Behind Counter at Ridgewood Liquor Store, Steals $250 Cash: NYPD

Police are searching for a man wanted for robbing a liquor store in Ridgewood earlier this week.

On Tuesday, June 18, around 1 p.m., the suspect walked into Forest Liquors House, located at 66-22 Forest Ave. and was browsing around the store. The man then forced his way behind the counter and stole $250 in cash from the register, police said.

A 53-year-old store employee tried to stop the robber as he fled, suffering scratches to his wrist.

The suspect is described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches in height and approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the 104 Precinct Detective Squad at 718-386-2723.
