Man Fatally Shot in Woodhaven Early Thursday, Another Injured

A man was shot dead and another injured in a shooting that took place in Woodhaven early this morning.

A 19-year-old and a 21-year-old were both shot at the corner of 91st Street and 85th Avenue, near Forest Park, at approximately 4:24 a.m., police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call and found both men with gunshot wounds. The 19-year-old was shot in the left arm, while the 21-year-old was shot in the torso and head, police said.

EMS transported the younger victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in serious condition and rushed the 21-year-old to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting follows an uptick in gun violence across the city over the past several weeks.

Man in his 50s sought for exposing himself to 13-year-old on E train in Forest Hills: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a suspect who allegedly flashed a 13-year-old girl on a Queens subway train last month.

The victim was riding a southbound E train approaching the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station at around 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30, when she saw a stranger exposing himself to her, police said Wednesday. The perpetrator ran off the train at the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station and fled in an unknown direction. The youngster was not injured during her encounter with the stranger.
