Federal agents arrested a Middle Village man Tuesday night after he allegedly posted online threats in the aftermath of last week’s riots about leading an armed caravan to Washington D.C.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force arrested Eduard Florea, 40, on a weapons-related charge after raiding his home on 76th Street near Eliot Avenue, according to news reports.

He is not believed to have participated in the deadly Capitol riot last week, NBC New York reported.

Florea has been convicted of weapons charges in the past. He was convicted in 2014 for weapons possession and sentenced to one year imprisonment after police found him with more than two dozen weapons, NBC New York reported.

Florea has also described himself as a member of the “Proud Boys,” an all male far-right extremist group, according to the Daily News.
