Burglar Steals $3,000 From Ridgewood Apartment: NYPD

Police are continuing to search for a man wanted for burglarizing a Ridgewood apartment last month.

On June 6, around 8 a.m., the unidentified suspect forced open the front door of a second floor apartment at 67-12 Fresh Pond Rd. Once inside, the man stole $3,000 and then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was inside the apartment at the time of the burglary, police said.

The suspect is seen on security camera footage wearing a navy t-shirt, dark pants, black sneakers and is carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the 104 Precinct Detective Squad at 718-386-2723.

The FDNY had a massive response to a three-alarm house fire in Richmond Hill on Wednesday morning.

After receiving a call at 10:22 a.m. reporting a fire on the second floor of a two-story private home at 87-35 126th St., firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the wood-frame building. The FDNY transmitted a second alarm at 10:33 a.m. after the fire extended to a brick two-story home next door.
