A 75-year-old woman is dead after she was struck by a car while crossing a street in Middle Village Tuesday morning.

The woman was hit while attempting to cross a section of road near Juniper Boulevard and 81st Street at around 6:30 a.m., according to police.

When police arrived, the woman was lying on the roadway with trauma.
