A man attempted to stab a 16-year-old boy in front of a high school in Forest Hills Tuesday, according to police.
The suspect allegedly approached the victim—who was at a bus stop following school dismissal– at around 3:50 p.m. in front of Queens Metropolitan High School, located at 91-30 Metropolitan Ave.
The assailant then plunged a knife into the boy’s chest in an unprovoked attack. The knife, however, broke when it made contact, and the victim was not hurt. The suspect then fled the scene.
Police said it was unclear whether the suspect had any connection to the school. The victim did not know the attacker.
Police release video and photos of the suspect.
