The Knockdown Center, which serves as a cross-disciplinary epicenter for performance artists, expanded from its underground roots to incorporating a wide array of mainstream artists at its venue this year. The board meeting, held at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, also focused on quality-of-life issues, with board members and the public wanting to address issues such as rats and trash. Ridgewood community center celebrates 10th anniversary with fundraising festivals

Dec. 6, 2023 By Anthony Medina An experimental cultural and community center in the heart of Ridgewood plans to host a series of fundraising festivals to celebrate its 10-year anniversary this winter. On Saturday, Dec. 9, Woodbine will host its fourth annual Holiday Market at Gottscheer Hall, located at 657 Fairview Ave. in Ridgewood. The center will have over 30 different vendors selling a wide array of goods. Each vendor will also contribute prizes for a fundraising raffle during the market.
