Queens mourns passing of NY1 anchor Ruschell Boone, who died Sunday at age 48

She was 48. Truck driver flees scene of MTA bus crash in Middle Village that left 9 passengers injured: NYPD

Aug. 28, 2023 By Anthony Medina Police from the 104th Precinct responded to the scene of a vehicle collision with an MTA bus in Middle Village that left nine passengers injured last week.  Police say an eastbound Q54 bus was traveling toward Jamaica Avenue on Tuesday, Aug. 22, and was stopped in traffic at approximately 10:40 p.m., when an unknown vehicle driving in front suddenly reversed to avoid a garbage truck. Councilman reignites call to shutter men’s shelter in Glendale after death of 25-year-old denizen

A local business owner who spoke with QNS, who wished not to be identified, said although they’ve been fortunate enough not to have any problems with the shelter occupants, locals continue to complain about overall safety and trespassing on private property.
