Cat and dog owners can get their pets vaccinated for free this weekend at Rosemary’s Playground in Ridgewood.
Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 23, Animal Care Centers of NYC will be offering routine vaccinations at the park, located at Woodward Avenue and Woodbine Street.
The vaccines, which typically cost pet owners between $10 to $20 per vaccination type, will be completely free. Dogs will be vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and Bordetella, and will be given a microchip implant. Cats will be given vaccines for rabies and FVRCP, and will also receive a microchip.
The event is being sponsored by Council Member Robert Holden, who has partnered with the animal rescue organization to ensure the health of his district’s pets.
Pet owners are asked to bring their animal’s paperwork, if available, to the event, which will run until 1 p.m.. All dogs must be brought on leashes and all cats need to be in a carrier. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign consent forms.
