A 30-year-old man is facing a slew of charges after allegedly assaulting a Ridgewood woman known to him in a violent and bloody burglary last week.

Jose Padron, according to police, was arrested yesterday morning and charged with burglary, assault, harassment, criminal trespass and more after a Jan. 19 break-in that also violated a temporary restraining order lodged against him by the victim.

At around 4 a.m. on that day, according to police, Padron kicked down the door of the 31-year-old victim’s Ridgewood apartment on Cypress Avenue near Decatur Street.

Padron allegedly began yelling at the woman and repeatedly hit her in the face, giving her a bloody nose.

The woman refused medical attention at the scene, according to an NYPD spokesperson, who noted that the incident was “domestic” in nature. The spokesperson, however, was unable to disclose the the relationship between the alleged assailant and victim.

Court records show that a temporary order of protection was issued on Dec. 17 in an ongoing domestic violence case against Padron.

Padron, who was also arrested on that day, was charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury, criminal obstruction of breathing, and harassment.

Padron is due back in Queens Criminal Court on Jan. 28 for both cases.
