Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole credit cards from delivery vehicles in Ridgewood and Maspeth last month.

The suspect allegedly broke into a truck operated by a delivery company while the driver was dropping off packages on Nov. 13 at around 10 a.m. The vehicle was parked outside 19-05 Starr St. at the time of the incident.

The thief swiped a bag filled with credit cards and then later used the stolen cards to make unauthorized transactions, police said.

The police did not disclose who the cards belonged to or why they were inside the vehicle.

The suspect struck again on Nov. 19 at around 1 p.m. when he got into a van belonging to the same delivery company that was parked outside 59-36 Maurice Ave.

He swiped another bag that contained credit cards and again used the stolen credit cards to make unauthorized purchases, police said.

Police did not reveal how much was charged to the cards.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, with a distinctive tattoo on his left hand. Police released images of the suspect.
