Dec. 13, 2018 By Laura Hanrahan

A burial and memorial service will be held this week for the homeless man who was found dead on a Ridgewood last month.

The burial for Arkadiusz Jasinski, 44, will take place Dec. 13 at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island, with a service to be held the following day at All Saints Old Catholic Church at 7 p.m., according to the Queens Courier.

The services for Jasinski, known by many in the neighborhood as Arek, were arranged by Vincent Lanza of the Ridgewood Chapels Funeral Home, along with the All Saints Old Catholic Church.

Jasinski lived in the Ridgewood community for several years, and was known to many local organizations.

He frequented All Saints and its Hungry Monk Rescue Truck service, which provides hot meals to the homeless.

Jasinski was found on Forest Avenue on the morning of Nov. 16, having apparently frozen to death after the prior night’s bitter cold temperatures and snow storm.

A candlelit vigil, also organized by All Saints Church, was held on Nov. 23 for Jasinski at the corner of Forest and Putnam Avenues, near where he was found and where he often slept, according to the church.
