The long-anticipated redesign of the Queens bus network officially launched on Sunday, June 29, marking the most significant overhaul of the borough’s bus routes in nearly 70 years. With temperatures nearing 90 degrees under clear skies, commuters gathered at stops across Queens, largely taking the changes in stride.

A Ridgewood man is being held without bail after he was accused of stabbing a man to death in front of a neighborhood bar during the early morning hours of Thursday, June 26.

Irvin Guzman, 28, of Madison Street, was taken into custody as a person of interest and arrested later that afternoon and booked at the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood for the fatal stabbing of a Brooklyn man.
