Ridgewood Brewery Opens New Cafe in Taproom

(Evil Twin Brewery)

Dec. 12, 2019 By Kristen Torres

A Ridgewood brewery opened a coffee shop within its brewhouse Wednesday in a move to expand its brand.

Evil Twin Brewing NYC, which opened two months ago at 1616 George St, has opened its doors to a new café that is being housed with its taproom and is being dubbed the Evil Twin Coffee.

Evil Twin Coffee will operate in partnership with Sey Coffee — a micro-roaster based in Brooklyn. The café will offer customers coffee drinks using a rotation of seasonal coffees sourced by Sey.

The menu will also feature tea and hot chocolate, alongside traditional espresso beverages.

Pastries will also be on the menu, all delivered daily from L’imprimerie — a French bakery in Bushwick.

Evil Twin Brewing was founded in 2010. Owners Jeppe and Maria Jarnit-Bjergsoe spent years working as distributors for their beers, earning their way onto menus of restaurants and bars around the world. The Queens location became the company’s first official brewery and taproom.

The café will be open seven days a week — Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
