Drunk Driver Smashes Into Row of Police Cars in Maspeth: NYPD

An alleged drunk driver picked the wrong place to drive under the influence and ended up busting up a row of cop cars in Maspeth Saturday night.

Salvatore Vicari, 52, is accused of driving his 2017 Jeep Cherokee into nine NYPD vehicles parked outside the NYPD Fleet Services Division on 58th Street and 53rd Avenue just after 11:30 p.m., police said.

Vicari, who also lives in Maspeth, was arrested on charges of DWAI, DWI, failure to produce an insurance card and refusal to take a breathalyzer, according to police.

This has got to be the dumbest fucking reply to this.. go get checked out . You’re justifying drunk driving by saying it’s the cops fault for not writing more tickets.. Please go piss up a rope

Those cars on 58th are lined up obstructing both sides of the sidewalk and forcing any pedestrians on to the roads. If someone is going to get drunk and hit a bunch of parked cars in Masbeth, that is the ideal place to do it

Justifying a wrong with another wrong is not the answer. Attacking alcoholism with a real solution is what we need. That being said, coming up with the right solution or combination of solutions is not an easy task. So let’s take our energies and be a finder of a plan.

If anyone watches when drunk cops get pulled over, they NEVER agree to a breathalyzer test. That’s lesson 1. Lesson 2, cops always park their cars facing out, why are they surprised a drunk clipped their cars? Lesson 3 – maybe if cops enforced more road infractions then this would have never happened.
