Nov. 15, 2018  By Laura Hanrahan

Police are searching for two men involved in the gunpoint robbery of Ridgewood’s Aalba Auto Salvage last week.

One of the thieves entered the shop at 151 Woodward Ave. around 2:40 p.m. on Nov. 9, and began asking about car parts.

While he was being told by an employee that they did not have the parts he was looking for, his accomplice entered the store and displayed a silver firearm, according to police.

The thief who entered the store first then made his way to the office area inside, where he stole a black knapsack containing roughly $20,000 in cash.

Both men fled from the shop in a blue Chrysler 300, driving south on Troutman Street.

Police describe the suspects as black, and both between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches in height. One of the suspects has a tattoo on the side of his neck.

Anyone with information is asked to call the 104th Precinct at 718-386-2723.
