A woman is dead after she was struck by an SUV in Maspeth, just south of Woodside, last week.

Police say Tamika Johnson, 39, was crossing 56th Road just off 48th Street when a black SUV struck her just before 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Johnson, according to police, was crossing the roadway diagonally from north to south, while the SUV was traveling east on 56th Road. The driver did not stop after striking her, effectively fleeing from the scene.

Police found Johnson’s body on the roadway, where she suffered a series of injuries and other trauma about her body, and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Johnson, from Brooklyn, died just two days later at the hospital on Nov. 4.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
