A 16-year-old was placed in a choke hold and robbed at knifepoint in Maspeth last week.
On Monday, Sept. 9 at 3:15 p.m., the 16-year-old was walking near the corner of Andrews Avenue and 55th Street when three suspects approached him from behind and placed him in a choke hold, causing him to partially lose consciousness, police said.
Two of the unknown individuals then stole the victim’s cell phone, earpods and $10 cash, while the third displayed a knife. The three, also teens, ran westbound down Metropolitan Avenue toward Flushing Avenue with the stolen items, according to the police.
The first suspect is described as Hispanic, 16 to 18 years old with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, blue Adidas sweatpants with white stripes, a blue Yankees baseball cap, white sneakers and a blue backpack.
The second individual is described as black, 16 to 18 years old with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue Yankees baseball cap, white undershirt, blue jeans and black backpack.
The third individual is described as black, 16 to 18 years old with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, white sweatpants and white sneakers.
