NYPD Looking for Two Suspects Involved in August Robbery in Middle Village

The police are looking for two individuals connected to a violent August robbery in Middle Village.

On Saturday, Aug. 24 at 4:55 p.m., a man and woman approached a 29-year-old man in front of 67-27 75th St and demanded his property. According to cops, the victim tried to walk away, but was punched in the face and fell to the ground, while the pair forcibly stole his wallet, containing $40 and personal items.

The individuals were last seen at Gates Mini-Mart located at 1534 Myrtle Ave, police said.

The NYPD has released photos and the following description of the suspects.

The man is described as Hispanic, approximately 17 to 21 years old, slim-built with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and white sandals.

The woman is described as Hispanic, approximately 17 to 20 years old, slim-built with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a short red tank top, black sweatpants, red and black shoes and a red bookbag.

Would you ever think these two honorable citizens of this fair city would do anything like the acts for which they are accused ?? Dare I say, “Is there is gambling in Casablanca?”

The FDNY had a massive response to a three-alarm house fire in Richmond Hill on Wednesday morning.

After receiving a call at 10:22 a.m. reporting a fire on the second floor of a two-story private home at 87-35 126th St., firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the wood-frame building. The FDNY transmitted a second alarm at 10:33 a.m. after the fire extended to a brick two-story home next door. The blaze went to a third alarm at 10:59 a.m. bringing a total of 33 units and 138 firefighters and EMS personnel to the scene.
