A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Ridgewood Friday night near his home, police said.
Police responded to a call at around 10:50 p.m. that a man had been shot across from 62-44 60th St. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.
Emergency services took the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have identified the victim as Alexander Pedraja, who lived on 60th Street, the same block where he was shot.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
