Aug. 28, 2019 By Shane O’Brien

A 16-year-old Maspeth girl who went missing on Saturday morning is believed to be in London, police said.

Victoria Grabowski, of 57th Road in Maspeth, was last seen inside her home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Police said that she left home with extra clothing and some money.

The Metropolitan Police Service in London believes that Grabowski traveled to the English city via Heathrow Airport on Aug. 24.

London police said that they were contacted by the UK National Crime Agency regarding a 16-year-old US Citizen matching Grabowski’s description who they believed had entered the UK through Heathrow on Saturday.

Officers in the UK have liaised with Grabowski’s family and will be speaking with the NYPD shortly, they said. The two police forces will be working together in an attempt to find Grabowski.

Grabowski’s family have subsequently learned that she had been searching for flights to London on her phone, her relatives told NBC News.

Grabowski’s uncle, Arkadiusz, told QNS that her parents had found texts which showed that she had been talking to an older man in London.

The NYPD described Grabowski as white, with a thin build and blue eyes and blond hair. Police estimate that she weighs 120 pounds and stands at roughly 5 feet 3 inches in height.

Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.
