    District 30 Council race intensifies with contrasting perspectives from Pogozelski and Holden’s staff

    Pogozelski confirmed he hired Hornak’s firm, Lexington Public Affairs, for consulting services in January but said the relationship ended within a month. “Council Member Holden’s statements are false and a reflection of how he operates in the district,” Pogozelski said. “I’m a moderate Democrat with traditional values. I’m here to bring new leadership to the district. My grassroots campaign is gaining traction even in Holden’s own backyard, showing that people are looking for a fresh face in local government.”

    Armed duo hold up man behind Rego Park Burger King: NYPD

    Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills are looking for two armed robbers who allegedly held up a 23-year-old man behind a Rego Park Burger King on Tuesday morning.

    The victim was walking through the parking lot at 92-85 Queens Blvd., a block south of the Long Island Expressway, at around 7:40 a.m. when he was confronted by two strangers who pulled out handguns and demanded his property, police said Tuesday.
