Police are searching for two men wanted for an assault and robbery that took place in Glendale earlier this month.

The incident began around 4:10 a.m. on June 9, when the 39-year-old victim was inside of a taxi that had stopped at Cypress Avenue and Clover Place.

The two unidentified men allegedly dragged the victim out from the back seat of the cab and proceeded to assault him, hitting him in the head and arms. The men then reached into the victim’s pants pocket and stole $2,000 cash.

The assailants hopped into the cab the victim had been in and fled the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition and was treated for injuries to his head, arms and feet.

Police released photos of one of the suspects allegedly involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the 104 Precinct Detective Squad at 718-386-2723.
