The annual Ridgewood/Glendale Memorial Day Parade will be returning to the neighborhood for the 81st year this long weekend.
The event, hosted by the Allied Veterans Committee of Ridgewood and Glendale, will take place on Monday May 27, starting at 11 a.m.
The parade will honor the soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and coast guards who have died in battle. The route will begin at the Glendale War Monument at the intersection of Myrtle and Cooper Avenues and will go down Myrtle Avenue, ending at the Ridgewood Memorial Triangle near Cypress Avenue.
Allied Veterans Committee of Ridgewood and Glendale is a local nonprofit that provides services to more than 5,000 residents. The group works to protect veterans’ rights and better the community.
